Ferrahian Armenian Students: “I AM HYE TAHD” | ANCA Telethon 2012

Ferrahian Armenian Students: “I AM HYE TAHD”

Students from the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School and the Holy Martyrs Marie Cabayan Armenian schools geared up for ANCA Telethon 2012 this week, hosting bake sales and selling T-shirts to bring their participation to the nationwide campaign to advance the Armenian Cause.

Horizon Armenian Television interviewed students to find out why they support efforts of the ANCA. “It’s very important that we participate in ANCA activities so that we can defend our rights — to educate people about the Armenian Genocide and demand justice from Turkey,” said one young lady. “I want to see a united Armenia, and all Armenians working together to help our homeland go stronger,” said another student.

One fifth grader explained, “I believe that if we want to defend our rights, we must depend on the ANCA. And, if we believe in the ANCA, we have to help both through action and financially.”

Students from the Ferrahian and Cabayan schools will be on hand at Horizon studios on Sunday May 20th to participate in the 6 hour Telethon broadcast, set to begin at 2:00pm PDT / 5:00pm EDT.
